At The Sports Reclamation Project, we believe that youth sports should be a source of joy, growth, and lifelong memories for young athletes. Unfortunately, studies reveal a troubling trend: by the age of 13, approximately 70% of youth athletes have stepped away from sports. The primary reason? It’s simply no longer fun.
Our mission is clear: to refocus youth sports on the youth athlete. We understand that the pressure to win, the emphasis on competition, and the overwhelming expectations from parents and coaches can overshadow the true purpose of sports—enjoyment and personal development.
At The Sports Reclamation Project,it is our goal to serve as an advocate for youth sports, Statistics show that 7 out of 10 Youth Athletes will quit by age 13, and the goal is to reduce those numbers through education, dialogue, and a commitment to Transfomational coaching practices.
